I don't know who saw my Daud Khel ? It was a small, simple, clean city - Now the city's main aqueduct, the road from Dera Khatki Khel to our neighborhood Mubarakabad, has been torn down to make way for a sewerage system - the work is going on so blindly that it is not even possible to cross the road on foot. I have to go through - if the same work was done with proper planning, under the supervision of sensible people, people would not have such difficulty in passing through here. Our house is located on the same road - Mian Ramdi's graveyard is also located on the same road south of our house.

Salaam, Everybody, You all know the tragedy that befell me last week. The death of my life-partner was a shattering shock. She was my first cousin, 4 years younger to me. Our marriage was an arranged marriage. We were married at a very young age. I was 18 and she just 14 when we got married. The haste was due to my Ammi's prolonged illness. Ammi wished to see me married before leaving this world. I was at that time a student of Intermediate. My wife had just passed the  Middle Standard examination. Thus we had to run the house as well as carry on our studies. Not easy, but by the Grace of ALLAH we managed it. She stopped after passing Intermediate, but I carried on, ending up with an MA English degree. NOTE : To overcome my overwhelming grief at my wife's death, I have decided to keep myself busy. میرا میانوالی   ایک اھم پیغام   کچھ دن پہلے جب ھم شفآءانٹرنیشنل ھسپتال اسلام آباد میں تھے ، وھاں ایک پمفلٹ آنے جانے والے لوگوں میں تقسیم کیا جا رھا تھا - اس پمفلٹ میں ذیا بیطس (شوگر) اور بلڈ پریشر کے بزرگ مریضوں کو گرنے سے بچانے کی ھدایات لکھی ھوئی تھیں - لوگوں نےبتایا کہ پچھلے چند ماہ میں 200 بزرگ مریض اچانک گرنے سے جاں بحق ھوگئے - پمفلٹ میں لکھا تھا کہ شوگر اور بلڈ پریشر کے بزرگ مریض اپنا جسمانی توازن برقرار نہیں رکھ سکتے -وہ چلتے چلتے کہیں بھی اچانک گر سکتے ھیں - اس لیئے انہیں گھر سے اکیلے باھر نہ جانے دیا جائے - بلکہ گھر کے اندر بھی چلتے پھرتے وقت گھر کا کوئی فرد ان کے ھمراہ ضرور ھونا چاھیے - تب یاد آیا کہ پرانے زمانے میں بزرگ لوگ اس طرح کے حادثات سے اس لیئے محفوظ رھتے تھے کہ وہ چلتے پھرتے وقت سہارے کے لیے لاٹھی (مضبوط چھڑی) استعمال کرتے تھے - یہ رواج واپس آنا چاھیے - اس سے کافی حد تک حادثات سے بچا جاسکتا ھے - لیکن سب سے بہتر یہی ھے کہ گھر کا کوئی فرد ھروقت ان کے ساتھ رھے - بزرگ ھمارابہت قیمتی سرمایہ ھیں- جس گھر میں بزرگوں کا خیال رکھا جائے اس گھ...
